One URL. One design system. One portfolio piece.
The Becoming is a speculative brand and growth-marketing case study — built end-to-end to demonstrate strategy, direct-response copy, creative direction and performance methodology in a single, coherent system.
Most portfolios show fragments — a landing page here, an ad set there, a spreadsheet of KPIs somewhere else. Hiring managers and clients have to reconstruct the thinking themselves. This is the opposite: one brand, one design system, one URL, and every deliverable placed exactly where it belongs in the funnel.
- — Brand strategy. An identity-first proposition in a category that defaults to motivation.
- — Direct-response copy. Premium restraint: the persuasion of Schwartz, the pacing of Apple, the storytelling of MasterClass.
- — Creative direction. A design system that could belong to Aesop, WHOOP or a boutique publisher — never to a ClickBank funnel.
- — Growth methodology. A paid acquisition engine, a four-part email sequence and a measurement framework that all speak the same language.
- I. Start with the case study overview — the whole system in fifteen seconds.
- II. Explore the landing page — the philosophy made visible.
- III. Read the email sequence — four letters, one story.
- IV. Study the Meta campaign — the paid acquisition engine.
- V. Finish with the measurement framework — how it would be evaluated in a live environment.
Restraint outperforms volume. Every deliverable in this system removes something the category adds — countdowns, badges, exclamation marks, promises of overnight change. The absence is the point.
One belief per touchpoint. Ads, emails and sections were each written to change exactly one belief. If a touchpoint tried to do two jobs, it did neither well.
Measurement is a diagnostic language, not a scoreboard. A weak number is a question — not a verdict. The framework is designed to point at the specific stage where attention, belief or action was lost.
The Becoming is a speculative portfolio project. No live results, spend figures or revenue data are claimed or implied. Every metric shown in this case study represents the framework that would be used to evaluate and optimise the campaign if deployed commercially.
